This directory holds some important patches for Windows for Workgroups
networking components, mostly TCP-IP related.
The most recent version of these patches can be obtained from
the Microsoft ftp server at ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/clients/wfw.

List of files:

tcp32b.exe     This is a fixed version of the Microsoft TCP/IP-32
               for Windows for Workgroups 3.11.
tcp32b.txt

wfwfiles.exe   This provides some patches for the WfW network files
wfwfiles.txt

icmp           This directory holds a "hot fix" (whatever that is)
               to fix an ugly problem with WfW and SMC Elite Ultra
               cards resulting in "random" ICMP messages sent.
               If you are suffering from "auto-closing" telnet
               connections with HP-UX, this one is for you.
               You should also install a ARPA patch on HP-UX to
               finally get rid of this problem.

wfwpatch       This directory holds some patches for WfW networking
               components which should be applied, if you are using
               a 3c5x9 card.
               Since these patches are quite old, this is probably fixed
               by recent drivers included with the card too.
