---------------------------------------------------------------------- HP ELOQUENCE A.06.20 - patch 9905190 (Windows 9x and NT only) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This patch applies to the HP Eloquence IDE and the eqstart utility for Windows 9x and NT as released with A.06.20. This patch will be integrated in a subsequent HP Eloquence release. A.06.20 must be installed before applying this patch. NOTE: This patch requires installation of patch PE62-9903081 or a more recent eloqcore patch. Eloqcore as released with A.06.20 may crash (GPF) if used with the current IDE or eqstart. This patch replaces the patch PE62-9902172. Fixed problems: --------------- Platforms: Windows 9x and NT * An internal overflow condition caused a GPF in the HP Eloquence IDE when a directory was displayed in the Explore window which contained a file with an invalid modification date. * In rare situations, a GPF was caused when the Explore window was opened. An assumption was made concerning the network hierarchy which was not always true. This has been fixed by re-implementing the enumeration algorithm more defensively. * Although eloqcore supports character mode programs since A.06.20, the HP Eloquence IDE and the eqstart utility did not support this mode (the eloqcore window was always hidden). In the IDE, the Debug Session Setup dialog now provides an additional checkbox named "Hide local EloqCORE console window" which is checked by default in order to provide backward compatibility. If this is unchecked, eloqcore is automatically invoked with the -f (force foreground) option and the console window appears whenever a debug session is started. Thus, character mode programs can be debugged. In the eqstart utility, the configuration dialog provides this checkbox, too, which serves the same purpose. Installation: ------------- Windows 9x and NT: Download the PE62-9905190-win32.zip file and unpack with WINZIP or PKZIP. Installation requires administrative capabilities. Please copy the eloqide.exe, and eqstart.exe to the bin subdirectory of your HP Eloquence installation directory (for example C:/Programs/Hewlett-Packard/HP Eloquence/bin). Files: eloqide.exe eqstart.exe PE62-9905190-README.txt
