HP ELOQUENCE A.06.20 - patch 9909230

This patch fixes a defect of the eloqsd server for Windows NT
as released with A.06.20. This patch will be integrated in a
subsequent HP Eloquence release.
A.06.20 must be installed before applying this patch.

This patch replaces patches PE62-9904091 and PE62-9909100.

* The previous patch PE62-9909100 incorporated a bug in the log-on
  mechanism which did not allow any logged-on user to execute any
  remote program as long as the logged-on user did not have
  administrative capabilities.


Patch PE62-9909100
------------------

Platforms: Windows NT

* The eloqsd server did not correctly setup all permissions for the
  user who had logged-on. This could cause subsequent failures e.g.
  when accessing a network resource from an HP Eloquence program.


Patch PE62-9904091
------------------

Platforms: Windows NT

* The eloqsd server sometimes failed to read its configuration files
  eloqsd.share and eloqsd.user correctly. This could cause the eloqsd
  server to hang when reading its share or user configuration.
  The problem was related to a bug in the Microsoft runtime library.


Installation:
-------------

Windows NT:

This patch should *only* be installed if you previously installed the
HP Eloquence server components on your system.

Download the PE62-9909230-win32.zip file and unpack with WINZIP or
PKZIP. Installation requires administrative capabilities.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THE EloqSD SERVICE has been STOPPED previously
(in the Service Control Manager). Please copy the eloqsd.exe file
into the WINDOWS SYSTEM DIRECTORY (for example C:/WINNT/SYSTEM32).
